What We Do
Health & Wellness
To maintain the optimal physical and mental health of residents by promoting physical fitness, increasing and maintaining physical functioning and prevent isolation of LGBT elders through ongoing educational and social activities.
Objectives of the Program
Weekly physical activities that promote and increase cardio-vascular health, agility and overall physical fitness such as, yoga, walking groups and water aerobics
- Weekly social/recreational activities that promote interaction/socialization and offer a healthy outlet
- Nutritional workshops and consultations with dieticians; nutritional gatherings that meet basic food needs of residents (healthy and affordable food choices)
- Creating partnerships in community
- Community building
- Promote a sense of purpose and meaning in life

Our goal is to maintain low-income and extremely low-income LGBT seniors in permanent, long-term affordable housing environments and enhance stability.

Our goal is to address key issues and concerns for LGBT elders to live independently and optimize their mental health and well-being with dignity and respect.
